What is CrossFit?
CrossFit is a strength and conditioning program which promotes constantly varied, functional movements performed at a high intensity.
CrossFit is both an exercise philosophy and a competitive sport.
It is a functional fitness programme which is beneficial to everyday life.
In a one hour class you will be taken through a short warm up, a strength or skill element (this could be anything from deadlifting and snatching to handstand walks or muscle ups) and finally ending with a WOD. This stands for workout of the day, which is the highest intensity segment of the hour.
All classes and exercises are scaled to the ability level that each individual requires.
CrossFit gyms are complete opposites to regular commercial gyms where you are counted as just another number helping a CEO buy another yacht.
CrossFit is a community who motivate and support each other.
